The Change Request Management in SAP Solution Manager 7.2 provides the means to efficiently control, manage and document all changes to your SAP system landscape. Because of this ChaRM has become an integral success factor for every IT landscape.
While SAP Solution Manager 7.1 is still based on SAP CRM 7.0 EhP 1 and SAP Solution Manager 7.2 is updated to SAP CRM 7.0 EhP 3.0. This means there will be no new CRM release but instead an enhancement package. This does however not mean that the changes affecting change request management are marginal.
ChaRM is a highly complex and strongly integrated process. In addition to some new transaction types (eg, Standard Change from SP05), the complete redesign of the Solution Documentation, the introduction of the test suite, the modern Fiori Launchpad or the revised release management are enough reasons to refresh your ChaRM knowledge.
